Main Attributes
Living Lightly has a number of interconnected elements, which, when adopted in part or as a whole, guide us in our choices and actions. Living Lightly is not a fixed set of rules. When you choose to Live Lightly, you choose to be your own leader, your own mapmaker and your own decision-maker. You do not do so alone, however. You choose to enter into a partnership with a global community of others who wish to or have begun to live lightly.

Living Lightly means accepting that you can and must make significant choices about how and where you live, about what you buy, about where you vacation and about who you vote for. But it also means doing this with a sense of humility (none of us ever gets it right every time), a sense of humour, an openness to sharing what we know and to learning from others, and a desire to allow what we value in life to guide us in making all these choices and decisions.
There is no definitive list of instructions on how to live lightly. There are, however, plenty of guideposts or attributes we can examine, select and apply to our lives and to our ever-changing personal and family circumstances. Here are some of the important attributes, ideas and qualities associated with of Living Lightly:
